The National Access Forum considered a paper on drones at its meeting on 17 September 2025. Due to the lack of clarity about whether recreational drone flying is within access rights, NatureScot took an action to seek an opinion from our legal advisers, Harper Macleod LLP. Their opinion was provided in March 2026.
