The National Access Forum discussed concerns about landowner’s legal liabilities arising from the provision and promotion of path information by third parties at its meetings on 2 February and 8 June 2022. NatureScot took an action to investigate the legal position on liability for third party promotion of paths, and sought advice from our legal advisers Harper Macleod LLP. Their opinion was provided on 10 May 2024.
